Just an update.. I got a reply from my friend “Jenny”. She got a bit upset, but still trying to maintain her good nature. I wish I’d posted here before I had deleted her response.

She wanted to call me names and really rip on me, but she held back. She did mention that she’d pray for me.

I told her to save it for someone who really cared about that sort of nonsense.

I’ve had several other people on that particular site question me about belief system, a couple have been very pleasant, and didn’t want to try to drag me back to their way of thinking. But there have been a couple that just didn’t get it, and kept trying to get me to see the light, as they see it.

It’s annoying.

Hey James. Yeah, I have too. I don’t mind it when someone is rather pleasant like Jenny here. At least she’s nice about trying to force the lord down Gary’s gullet. But when they get angry, like my Aunt’s mother when we tried to tell her that America was not founded as a christian nation… oh man, that was UGLY. She turned on us like we were slaughtering babies and puppies right in front of her. She was suddenly vicious and showed her true “christian” colors of hate, lies and intolerance based on ignorance and fairy tales.

Jenny’s mind set is, unfortunately, one that I have encountered frequently. They want you to believe the same propositions that they do – however, when it comes down to actually supporting these propositions with worthwhile evidence, they have nothing further to say than ‘You just have to put your faith in the Lord and then everything will make sense.’

Right!
