The best picture Dan took in the museum. I smiled when I saw it. :)

Did you miss the Creation Museum Field Trip with PZ Myers last month? I did, and so did Dan, my friend from Rationality Now. But he and his friend decided to go to the museum not long after. He wrote up a 6 part tour that I found amazing, disturbing and depressing. His writing is excellent and thorough, quite interesting and fascinating.

So I wanted to share Dan’s investigative tour with you. He sums up my feelings about the place rather perfectly. He has lots of pictures to illustrate as well.

Take a deep breath and dive in:

Thanks for the link and kind words, Neece!

The place was mind-boggling and it was sometimes painful to sit through some of the things, but I tried to take copious notes so I’d remember when doing my writeups. I still want to do a few more writeups about some of the other presentations we saw, but wanted to take a break from the brain-mushing effect before I start back in. ;-)

You’re quite welcome, Dan. Yeah, I worry for your IQ with all that nonsense. I couldn’t have done it, honestly. Keep us posted if you write up any more. Your writing (with all those awesome pictures too) is really excellent. :)

  3. [...] 6. Take a photographic field trip to the Creation Museum with Rationality Now. Interesting pictures and great (skeptical) commentary from Dan. I highly recommend going through the whole series. HT2 Neece at Having Dead Cats blog. [...]

That sign is too optimistic. Yet I like how the creationists fret, I assume we are doing something right.

True. I think, though, that creationists fret about the godless as a general rule, as part of their dogma. I think if anything it only makes them more upset and harder to deal with. That’s just my thoughts, though, hopefully I’m being pessimistic. :|
